Daniel Bayer is an artist based in Park City, Utah, where the mountains, wildlife, and wide-open landscape serve as both studio and inspiration. A lifelong cartoonist at heart — growing up with Doonesbury and Bugs Bunny — Daniel spent decades in software consulting before finding his way back to art.
His paintings draw on the Impressionist masters while embracing an intuitive, DIY sensibility — expressive, loosely drawn, and unafraid of a cartoonish line. The work explores themes of family, landscapes, and the wildlife around him.
When he isn't in the studio, he's working as a local ski guide — or doing his best to protect the local wildlife from his cat Stryder.
